Library & Research
The mission of the South Lakewood Elementary library is to foster a love of reading, both for pleasure and information by connecting our students and faculty with the resources, technology and critical thinking skills they need to inspire learning.
All students visit our library at least once each week, many choose to visit more often to relax and read a book, decorate a bookmark, meet with a reading or writing group, or learn about technology tools.
Students check out weekly and may keep books for two weeks before they are overdue. If a book is lost or damaged, we ask the family to replace the book or pay the replacement fee if they are able.
