I am excited about the new school year! This is my 21st year teaching and my 20th year at South Lakewood. This year students will be participating and learning skills and knowledge from various units and activities. Some of the units will include locomotor and nonlocomotor movements, fitness, fitness assessment/goal setting, health for a life time, track, soccer, tumbling, team building, racquet sports, flag football, basketball, floor hockey, dance, and volleyball. I will be offering several before and after school intramurals. More information will be in the school newsletter. Track practices are going well! Keep practicing hard 5th and 4th grader track members! Our 16th annual PE fundraiser with Denver Karate Academy will be after school October 8th, 9th, and 10th. We will meet in the gym 3:40-4:15. The graduation will be October 12th. The cost of the program is $25. 100% of the money will be used to buy fitness equipment, balls, and field day game materials. More information will be sent home the third week of September.
