Meet the Principal

Principal Eric Romero
Welcome Back, South Lakewood Families!
It brings me so much joy to welcome you to another incredible school year at South Lakewood Elementary! I hope this message finds you and your family feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready for a year full of growth, learning, and joyful moments.
As we begin this new chapter together, I want to take a moment to celebrate the heart of our school—our sense of belonging. At South Lakewood, every student, every family, and every staff member is seen, heard, and valued. We are more than a school—we are a community, and every single one of us contributes to the warmth and strength of that community.
This year, we’ll continue to focus on creating opportunities for students to learn, explore, and grow—together. Whether it’s through collaboration, creativity, or curiosity, we believe that we grow stronger side by side. When students feel safe and inspired, amazing things happen—and we can’t wait to see just how high they’ll soar this year.
We’re also incredibly grateful for the continued partnership of our PTA and the support of families like yours. Your involvement truly makes a difference, and we’re excited to work alongside you to make this year one to remember.
Our school motto, “All One, Each One,” is more than just words—it’s a promise. A promise that we’ll look out for one another, lift each other up, and make sure every child knows they matter.
Thank you for being part of the South Lakewood family. We’re so glad you’re here. Let’s make this year one of connection, discovery, and unforgettable memories—together.
I appreciate you,
Mr. Romero
