Hi South Lakewood!
Elementary art is such a magical place! This will be my 14th official year teaching art in schools, my 7th year in JeffCo public schools, and my 5rd at South Lakewood. I grew up in Maryland and received a BA in Visual Arts from Winthrop University, in South Carolina. I hold a master's degree in Art Education from the University of Maryland. I taught art in Washington, D.C. and Maryland before moving to Colorado.
I strongly believe in creating artists who believe they have the power to figure out how to draw anything they want to learn, who understand that creativity comes in many many many forms, not just drawing and painting, and who have experienced art in a variety of contexts.

My favorite things to do when I'm not making art are eating, whitewater kayaking and rafting, skiing, hanging out with my dog Bowline and playing outside.
